Signs From The Universe (Part 2)

Hello my friend,

Today I wanted to go deeper in to the concept of receiving signs from the universe.

This is actually a very important subject that can help you gain a lot more personal and relevant guidance for your life path… by simply paying more attention to what’s happening around you.

I recently released an article on this subject, you can read it here: signs from the universe, part 1

That article introduces this subject to more skeptical minds… and explains why being open to universal signs is actually a very wise and intelligent way to live

So, if you’re skeptical, then go read part 1.

That being said, let’s begin

The Universe Is Always Talking To You, Are You Listening?

Recently, my highest goal has been to “listen to my intuition

I’ve been testing to see what happens if I just completely and totally follow my subtle body-feelings and intuitive callings… without ever “forcing things to happen.”

Today, my goal was to find my true goal in life…

I’ve been feeling a bit disillusioned with the whole “creating YouTube videos” thing… and I was looking for a fresh new path to re-inspire me

So, I read in Reality Transurfing that when you’re wanting to discover your true life path… it’s good to let new information in by going to a new place that you’ve never been before… and also to be on the lookout for signs.

A sign can be anything that makes you feel: “huh, that’s weird.”

For example, I was walking by my kitchen table and my mom’s laptop was open..

she was having a conversation with a co-worker and the message that I saw was

“Thanks for listening to me!”
“Enjoy your vacation ☺️”

And what was really weird about it was that it was sent at 11:11am.

Immediately, I got the insight that it’s like a subtle message/confirmation from the universe that God is telling me “yes, if you keep listening to me today, you’ll be able to create your life to feel like a continual vacation!”

My intention for the day was to take the whole day off (a vacation) to simply listen to the signs from the Universe.

So, this was a weird “coincidence” for me (and I’m sure you can see why.)

But guess what?

This doesn’t just happen to me once per day…

This kind of “synchronicity” happens to me literally hundreds of times every single day.

  • signs on the road
  • song lyrics
  • passing phrases uttered by friends, family, strangers
  • YouTube titles/thumbnails/videos
  • sentences in books
  • street names
  • people’s names (I like to google name meanings… for example, the woman who sent the message to my mom, her name meant: bowed down.
  • seeing animals (if you ever see an animal at a weird or random time, google the “spiritual meaning” of the animal and you might get a cool insight!)
  • repeating numbers (222, 1111, 777, etc. you can also google the meaning of these “angel numbers”)
  • random body movements sometimes I’ll get a shiver and my head will automatically be pointed to a certain sign or thing I need to see… or the movement will open up my energy in a way that allows me to gain an interesting insight
  • spontaneous urges such as “go outside” , or “take this path” , or “call this person”
  • running into people
  • dreams

These are the most common examples that I personally experience… but there are many other ones that are very popular for highly intuitive people:

  • random smells (cinnamon, lavender, death, apple pie, etc.)
  • random tastes
  • hearing words/sounds
  • seeing visions
  • feeling ‘tingles’
  • symbols, flashes
  • and lots more….

Literally anything could be a “sign.”

So, PAY ATTENTION!

(Note: Skeptics will say: “hearing voices? go to the doctor, crazy!”
Please understand that I’m not talking about mental illness or schizophrenia or anything like that. There are many human beings on Earth who are highly intuitive and experience these realities every single day as a normal part of their world. These are highly-functioning humans who are kind, intelligent, and smart. So, just because you’re inexperienced with these kinds of phenomena, that doesn’t mean that they don’t exist. If you spend any reasonable amount of time studying consciousness, the paranormal, shamanism, or psychic phenomena, you will see that there are literally hundreds of thousands of examples of these cases occuring to normal people each day. So, it’s actually more “scientific” to (at least) be open to these phenomena rather than shut them down completely. See this video for more info about the reality of the paranormal and psychic powers.)

How To Interpret Signs

There really is no “proper way” to interpret signs.

It’s not a science, it’s an art.

Since we are talking about the subjective world, it would be a mistake to try to overly analyze, systematize, or dissect these things.

Often, the best advice is to simply go with your first instinct.

That being said, I will still try to explicitly explain some tips that I use for reading and interpreting signs (that work for me).

1. You know it’s a “real sign” if it’s random or unexpected

The more you “try to make it happen…” the less likely it is to occur.

It reminds me of when my girlfriend used to tell me about the fairies in the forest.

“Where are they?”

I would ask.

Show me one so that I can catch it, cut it open, and publish my findings in a scientific journal.”

She got scared:

😱 No, it doesn’t work like that, silly! They won’t come out unless they feel safe.”

So, in the same way, the signs will only “come out” if you relax, and simply be open to them.

2. Set the intention: “I will see a sign to help me discover my life purpose today” or “I will see a sign that will give me more insight about my relationship” etc.

Earnestly setting the intention to receiving a sign today will work 100% of the time.

This prime your subconscious mind to stay open to receiving and realizing when the signs are happening.

Famous music-producer Rick Rubin says:

"The signs are always happening, but most people aren't paying attention."

Each day, there’s literally hundreds of “helping hands” that are thrown your way.

The key is to become more sensitive and conscious… and to say “thank you” when you notice them.

3. Look for connections and “hidden meanings.”

I’m naturally extremely good at this because I’m an ENTP in Myers-briggs and my mind is literally wired to look for meanings and connections between ideas and concepts.

Actually, most people who are intuition-dominant (they have the “N” trait) will have an easier time reading signs in their lives.

But, everyone can do it, and here’s what I do:

When I see something out of the ordinary, or something grabs my attention, I ask myself

  • “What does this mean (for me)?”

(For example: I see a sign on the road that says “Slow Down” and I take that as a sign that it’s a good time for me to “slow down” my mind or my walking pace. Of course, the sign is actually for the cars to slow down on the road, but I purposefully twist the meaning to fit my personal world.)

  • “How is this related to what I’m going through right now?”

  • What is the secret meaning of this thing?”

  • “What does this remind me of?”
(For example: I see a street sign that says “Beatrice Way” and that reminds me of the character named Beatrice from the book Dante’s Inferno. The name Beatrice actually translates to joy or bliss. So, when I see the street sign (and I feel pulled to walk that way) I can take that as a sign that going down that path will be “the way to joy and bliss.”

Sensing vs Intuition

Whenever you’re looking for hidden meanings that are not literal (but metaphorical), then you are exercising your intuition.

Everyone has intuition, but not everyone uses it as dominantly as I do (or other “N traits”).

The opposite of intuition (in Myers-Briggs) is sensing.

Sensing is about looking at what’s literally there.

Sensing sees a car accident on the side of the road and simply notes the facts:

  • it’s a Honda Civic
  • there’s damage on the back bumper
  • it happened at the intersection of Douglas St. and Long St.
  • the roads are icy
  • the driver was a 24 year-old woman who was 5 foot 6 and hispanic
  • looks like the blue car hit the red car

etc.

So, the sensing part of your brain is looking for literal facts. Whereas the intuition part of your brain is looking for the connections between those facts.

  • Wow, a car accident, looks like those people weren’t paying attention, it’s probably related to the mercury retrograde.
  • Car accidents always happen around this corner, I wonder if there’s an attractor field of distraction at this intersection.
  • Maybe that’s a sign that I should pay extra attention when I’m driving today.
  • That reminds me of that car accident that happened in the book that I was reading.
  • Were they distracted drivers? I wonder if there’s a correlation between the rise of social media use and car accidents caused by distracted driving.

So, sensing is looking at what’s literally happening, intuition is looking at the underlying meaning as to why it’s happening or what it represents.

It’s important to develop both of these functions in your brain (or at least know that they both exist), so that you don’t get stuck only looking at things literally … or only looking at things metaphorically. It’s good to do both.

Alright, that’s all for today.

I hope that you enjoyed this talk about listening to signs from the universe.

It’s a powerful and valid piece of reality that you can use to guide your life in a harmonious way towards what you want.

Don’t let the ‘science-head’s’ out there tell you that you’re crazy or deluded for being open to signs.

The truth is that people in higher stages of psychological development are able to include the usage of signs from the universe as a valid way to guide their lives.

There’s a notable difference between a superstitious person who knocks on wood and believes that the rain gods are angry at him… vs a person who uses his experience to guide him towards higher levels of love and success.

By understanding meta-models such as Spiral Dynamics , you’ll realize that most “scientifically minded people” who are closed to these kinds of ideas are actually just hard-stuck in Stage Orange , and that really psychologically developed human beings are able to use their whole brains (not just the left-hemisphere).
